After thanksgiving dinner we decided to take a road trip the next morning. We needed to head south to hit a woodworking store that we Love Rockler ... so since we were already headed that way we decided to keep going. We ended up staying the night in Tigard. Had dinner at Red Robin and then went to the mall and walked around for a bit... we bought a fun new game Blokus 3-D to take back to the hotel and play. We always get a new game on road trips. In the morning we headed out to Rockler again. There was a coupon that was only good for Saturday so we found a local store in Oregon. Then we went OMSI Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. Ended up being free to get in since we already are memeber of our local Science Center We spent about 5 hours wandering around and doing all the stuff and we didn't even make a dent in the things to do.. so many hands on things. The best thing we did was take a submarine tour. We got to go on the sub that is in the water. It was so much fun and so cool. After that we got some lunch then headed to another woodworking store WoodCraft This store is Geat. We didnt get to stay very long since they were closing already but we will be going back. They were huge and had some of everything even had some things we have not been able to find in other stores. We spent some time driving around Portland.. we call it sightseeing.. things is.. with all the bridges and the one way streets and the rivers... we sort of end up getting lost.. which is great because we find lots of cool places. We always leave wanting to go back. Next trip there we plan on riding the tram and going back to the woodworking store and I am sure that OMSI will be visited several more times. We also heard that there is the Biggest Christmas Light show west of the Mississippi that you can drive through.. hoping to see that soon too :) Always so many things to see and do :)

Sounds like a wonderful trip! I've never actually seen a submarine before, let alone go INSIDE one. That must have been so exciting. I love getting lost in new cities, as you said it is a great way to find new cool things. That was a fun post, I got to live vicariously through you for a moment =) lol
